Profil Catherine Fournier

Her career path

Catherine is a young technician in animal health. She has always known she would work in this field, animals being her number one passion.

After high school, she immediately directed herself towards the Lionel-Groulx College, where she studied in becoming an animal health technician. She graduated in June 2014. She is now studying at the University of Montreal in Biology specialising in environment. As you can see, she has many strings to her bow!

Catherine is an accomplished technician due to her many varied work experiences and internships. In the summer of 2010, she started by teaching soccer to 7-year-old girls in Boisbriand. She was able to spread the interest amongst these girls with her perseverance, her enthusiasm and her patience. She then worked for 2 years (2012-2014) at Sport Experts, where she had to keep herself informed on all the many new products to insure an excellent client service. She developed consistency and integrity, making her a great employee.

While studying in becoming a vet technician, she did two internships. Her first was at the Clinique Vétérinaire Basses-Laurentides from March to April 2014. Her second was at the GREMEQ (Groupe de Recherches en Médecine Équine du Québec) where she was introduced to equine medicine. This experience was directed especially towards respiratory and muscular-squelettal systems. Although she adores and is passionate of all animals, she realised that she has a more pronounced interest towards horses. Since then, one of her main hobbies is to train in western horseback riding.

Catherine is applied, rigorous, attentive to her patients and clients, as well as outstanding in client service care. She is extremely appreciated by her peers and colleagues mostly for her easy approach, warm welcoming and her ease to integrate within an already existing team. She is professional and has a kind heart that makes her the excellent technician she is.
