Dr. Caroline Normandeau Veterinarian

With over 20 years of professional experience as a veterinarian, Dr. Caroline Normandeau's passion for the profession is still as strong as ever. From 1996 to 2003, she worked as a veterinarian at the Baker Animal Hospital in Montreal. Then, in 2005, she joined the ranks of the Seigneurie de Terrebonne Veterinary Hospital until 2017.

In terms of her academic career, after a brief course in physiotherapy from 1990 to 1991, she began studying veterinary medicine at the University of Montreal and obtained her degree in veterinary medicine (DMV) in 1995. She then continued her studies and earned a certificate in advanced training in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV), specializing in the medicine and surgery of small animals, from the University of Montreal.

Dr. Normandeau added several achievements to her career: in the summer of 1993, she completed a four-week internship in small animal veterinary medicine at Alfort University in Paris. In the winter of 1996, she worked as a veterinarian at the Labrador 400 event, a 400 km dog sled race held in Labrador City. Additionally, she completed basic training in small animal ultrasound, specifically Basic Abdominal, at Universal Imaging in New York in the spring of 2000. Finally, she regularly participates in various conferences hosted by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC).

Dr. Normandeau is the mother of two children. She is also the proud owner of Nelly, a Portuguese Water Dog, and Jasmine, a Burmese cat.

In her free time, Dr. Caroline Normandeau enjoys reading and traveling. After completing her internship in France in 1993, she backpacked around Europe. To stay active, she enjoys cycling, rollerblading, downhill skiing, and going on long hikes with her dog.

Dr. Caroline Normandeau is known for her deep commitment to the health and well-being of the animals entrusted to her care. Her keen observation skills, along with her ability to analyze and synthesize information, enable her to accurately assess and resolve health or behavioral issues. She also enjoys working with the public, and her excellent interpersonal skills and teaching ability make her interactions with clients easy and effective. While Dr. Normandeau works independently with great autonomy, she also thrives in a team environment. Her scientific curiosity and dedication to continuous learning ensure that she stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
