Surgical Procedures

From the operating room to recovery, the well-being of your pet is our priority.

At Fontainebleau Veterinary Clinic, we offer a full range of surgical services to ensure the health and well-being of your pet. Whether it's a spay/neuter procedure, mass removal, dental surgery, or a more complex operation, our team ensures that every procedure is performed with the utmost care and under optimal safety conditions.

What surgeries are offered at our clinic?

General surgery

At Clinique vétérinaire Fontainebleau, we offer a wide range of surgical services, from routine procedures such as spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue surgeries, including mass removals, cystotomies, and laparotomies.

Careful attention at every step:

  • Depending on your pet’s age and overall health, appropriate blood tests will be recommended prior to surgery.
  • An anesthetic and pain management protocol tailored to each patient will be implemented to ensure they remain as comfortable as possible.
  • Regardless of the type of surgery, all patients will have an intravenous catheter to administer fluids during the procedure.
  • Patients are placed on a heating pad to help maintain their body temperature.
  • Continuous and careful monitoring is ensured throughout the procedure, thanks to our anesthetic monitoring equipment and the presence of a veterinary technician.

A confident return at home

When your pet is discharged, our team will explain the post-operative care to follow at home, including how to administer any prescribed medications.

Emergency Surgeries

We perform certain emergency surgeries at the clinic, such as cesarean sections, pyometras (uterine infections), wound closures, and more.

When should surgery be considered for my pet?

Some surgeries are elective, such as spaying and neutering, while others become necessary due to health concerns like tumors or injuries. A veterinary examination will help assess the situation and determine the best course of action.

If you have any questions or believe your pet may need surgery, don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
